TANGO OUT presents a unique platform for dancing, while embracing inclusion and creating art for social change. With the focus on Queer Tango, events also encourage the “traditional” Tango community to participate alongside the LGBTQ+ community.

TANGO OUT has presented numerous events, performances, milongas, prácticas, and more than 300 classes to the community, in venues such as -the Reef Beach Bar, the LGBT Visitor Center on Miami Beach, The Astor Social Club, The Gaythering Hotel, Pridelines, Open Air Tango, TangOcho, Pride Miami Beach, New World Symphony- Pulse points and Outside venue of the American Airlines Arena (honoring the 45 lost at Pulse Nightclub), La Ideal Milonga, Gay8 Calle Ocho, Elevate Unity Coalition, Furia Divina, New World School of The Arts, and teaching at the Miami Sunshine Tango Festival, among others.  

What is TANGO OUT?

Globally, the TANGO OUT team has attended and participated in tango events and festivals in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Italy, New York, Chicago, Connecticut and Miami.

Tango Out Inc is the recipient of the prestigious 2019 Knight Arts Challenge award from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, to produce CONEXION Miami’s first International Queer Tango Festival. The team at Tango Out, along with the Volunteer Festival Host Committee was delighted to present the festival April 7-10, 2022 in Miami with a reprise in 2023 and soon again in 2024. TANGO OUT is committed to its yearlong programing and building a more inclusive social dance and tango performance scene in Miami and globally.
